Decatur is one of Atlanta’s most beloved communities — an eclectic, walkable DeKalb County city celebrated for its arts scene, excellent schools, and beautiful neighborhoods full of craftsman bungalows, mid-century ranches, and contemporary homes. Buford Renovations is proud to serve Decatur homeowners with kitchen and bathroom remodeling that respects the character of this unique community.
Decatur’s real estate market is among the most competitive in metro Atlanta, and a well-executed renovation in this desirable city delivers significant returns. From the historic homes near downtown Decatur Square to the neighborhoods bordering Emory University, our team delivers renovations that speak to Decatur’s blend of tradition and modernity.
Kitchen Remodeling in Decatur
We remodel kitchens in Decatur that honor the architecture of the home while delivering the open, functional layouts today’s families want. Our Decatur kitchen projects include custom cabinetry, quartz and butcher block countertops, subway and designer tile backsplashes, updated lighting, and full appliance packages tailored to your cooking style.
Bathroom Remodeling in Decatur
We transform Decatur bathrooms into beautiful, functional spaces that complement the character of the home. From vintage-inspired tile patterns to clean modern lines, our design team creates bathrooms that feel right at home in Decatur’s eclectic architectural landscape.
The primary bathroom is the single most requested project we get in Decatur. Many homes here were finished with a builder-standard master bath — a large garden tub, a small shower, and cultured-marble counters — and owners are ready to turn it into a space they actually enjoy: a spacious tiled walk-in shower, a double vanity with real storage, and finishes chosen for their home rather than a builder’s catalogue. For typical budgets, see our 2026 bathroom remodel cost guide.
Outdoor Living: Decks, Covered Patios & Sunrooms in Decatur
Not every Decatur project happens indoors. Many homeowners ask us to upgrade a basic builder deck into a larger patio deck, add a covered patio or covered deck for shade and rain, or enclose the space as a sunroom for year-round use. We design and build all three with the same crew and the same written estimate and schedule as our kitchen and bath work. See our deck and outdoor living services →
We Know Decatur’s Homes
Buford Renovations has been remodeling homes across North Georgia and metro Atlanta for more than 20 years, including Decatur and the rest of DeKalb County. The homes that most often come to us for a renovation are 5 to 10 years old — well built, but finished with the builder-standard cabinets, counters, and tile that owners are ready to make their own. Kitchens and primary bathrooms lead the list, followed by outdoor living upgrades: patio decks, covered decks, and sunrooms. Every project is scheduled with realistic drive-time planning from our Buford shop, so the crew arrives when we say it will.
